The
hotel located in a enclave of tranquility, only two minutes
walking distance from Piazza San Marco, pass by en route
the elegant and refined Via XXII Marzo visiting the better
shops that Venice offers and arriving finally to the "Napoleonica
delle Procuratie": one of the most pituresque entrances
to San Marco. Here, you are unexpectetantly thrown into
one of the worlds most beautiful scenes dominated by the
extreme height of the San Marco bell tower the notabile
elegance of the dome of the Basilica and the precious mosaics
of Palazzo Ducale, a master piece of gothic architecture.
Closely located to the hotel is the 17th century grand theatre
" La Fenice ", which being the most important
and impressive public theatre receives its name. Inaugurated
at the end of 1700 it is destroyed by fire 1834. Restored
to its original splendor, during the 19th century it is
again host to opera debuts such as Rigoletto by Giuseppe
Verdi (1851 ). In 1996 it is again reduced to ashes by fire.
The reconstruction of this jewel in the city built on water
continues today. |

16th century building transformed at the beginning of the
1750's into a hotel, has again been recently renovated considering
the actual needs of today's modern traveller while taking
care to maintain its Venetian charm. The main entrance is
located beside a typical Venetian canal which allows for pleasurable
and convenient arrival by water taxi or traditional gondola.
On entering the hotel guests are welcomed by polychromatic
marble floors arranged in elegant geometric forms, wood counters
and banisters are styled in old world tradition and authentic
Murano glass. The intimate salons are enriched by the presence
of prestigious paintings of the 15-17th century, panoramics
to be appreciated during quiet moments of reading and relax.
In the breakfast room, woodwalls are reflected in the yellow
slow of authentic marble floors. The elaborate buffet offers
a rich assortment of meats and cheeses and Venetian pastries
baked in authentic centuries old tradition.
The newly renovated corner bar is a perfect place for a traditional
capuccino or evening cocktail. Located next to the bar are
two conveniently placed elevators and a fully lit staircase
in marble to guide guests to the upper floors. |
